Search Engine Submission

There are different types of search engine submissions. One of them is paid submission. It notifies search engines like Google and Yahoo that your web site exists. This is a cost effective way for customers to find you. There is no guarantee where you will show up in the search results. If internet users are specific enough with their search terms they will find you this way.

Another type is pay per click. This is a more expensive type of submission. Pay per click listings appear in the 'sponsored' section of the search engine results, usually at the top or on the side of the page. Like paid submission, pay per click notifies search engines like Google and Yahoo that your web site exists, but unlike paid submission you pay more money, depending on competition, to choose exactly where your web site link will appear in the sponsored search results. The higher up your web site appears the more you pay when an internet user clicks on your link in the sponsored links section. Yahoo Search Marketing and Google AdWords are examples of this type.
